Application Characteristics of High-Pressure Reactors for Nickel and Nickel-Based Alloys (Part 2)
Last time, we discussed in http://www.weibafyf.com/news_detail/newsId=e8cc4948-06ee-4133-9102-4ef1e5e955c4.html the factors influencing the allowable temperature for autoclaves made of nickel materials and nickel-based alloys. Now, let’s continue by examining other factors that affect the allowable temperature: 1. Last time, we discussed in http://www.weibafyf.com/news_detail/newsId=e8cc4948-06ee-4133-9102-4ef1e5e955c4.html the factors influencing the allowable temperature for autoclaves used in nickel and nickel-based alloy applications. Now, let’s continue by examining other factors that affect the allowable temperature:
1. When using autoclaves made of nickel and nickel alloys in high-temperature steam, the operating temperature must be carefully considered. The maximum operating temperature for pure nickel should not exceed 425°C; for nickel-copper alloys, it should not exceed 380°C; for nickel-chromium-iron alloys, it should not exceed 815°C; and for nickel-iron-chromium alloys, it should not exceed 980°C.
2. For nickel and nickel alloys used in autoclaves, if the design temperature is not lower than -198°C, there are no excessive requirements for the mechanical properties of the materials and their welds. However, when the design temperature falls below -198°C, it is necessary to verify that the materials and their welds still exhibit good elongation after fracture at temperatures no higher than the design temperature before they can be used.
