Introduction to the Water-Dehydration Device for Reactors
During the design process, the reactor will be equipped with a water-separation device inside. The reactor’s primary function is also quite specific: during operation, most of the water and impurities can be drained from the equipment, thereby improving the quality of the resin. Since this equipment features an enhanced water-separation system, it can also reduce energy losses, which in turn lowers the operating costs of the reactor. The water-separation device consists mainly of three components: a switch valve, an observation mirror, and a connecting pipe assembly. During use, it is essential to drain the water promptly and accurately. By removing the solvent (water), waste and contamination are eliminated. When the reactor is in the reaction stage, the communication valve must be opened.

Everyone probably knows. Reaction vessel There’s a water-diverting device—so what exactly is its purpose? Let us introduce it to you below.

During the design process, Reaction vessel The interior will be equipped with a water separation device. Reaction vessel Its primary function is also quite specific. When in use, the device can remove most of the water and impurities from the system, thereby improving the quality of the resin. Because this device is equipped with more water-separation units, it can also reduce energy loss, which in turn lowers the operating costs of the reactor. The water-separation unit consists mainly of three components: a switch valve, an observation mirror, and a connecting pipe assembly. During operation, it is essential to drain the water promptly and accurately. By removing the solvent (water), we can eliminate waste and prevent contamination.
When Reaction vessel During the reaction phase, the communication valve must be opened. The primary purpose is to prevent the reactor from returning under pressure when the reaction vessel is pressurized. When using vacuum feeding or discharging, the reflux valve must also be closed. Additionally, the drain valve should be opened to avoid drawing solvents and water from the hydrophobic valve into the reactor. Typically, equipment is filled according to actual needs, with a filling level not exceeding 80%. If you are already familiar with the reactions conducted in hydrothermal equipment, you may achieve a filling level of up to 90%. When the equipment is filled to a lower degree, there is more residual space, resulting in relatively lower pressure at high temperatures. If the ligand has low solubility in the reaction vessel, a higher filling degree can be considered, which may enhance the pressure; however, the filling degree should not be excessively high. If the solvent has a high boiling point and the reaction temperature is low, the equipment’s filling degree can be slightly higher. However, generally speaking, situations involving solvents with high boiling points and low reaction temperatures do not typically occur.
Alright, that’s all for the water separation device for the reactor. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact our company.
