　　The pilot-scale hydrogenation autoclave is a product positioned between laboratory hydrogenation autoclaves and industrial hydrogenation autoclaves. Its key distinguishing feature is its larger volume compared to laboratory autoclaves. Moreover, since hydrogenation or hydriding reactions can be highly exothermic, pilot-scale hydrogenation/hydriding autoclaves are equipped with explosion-proof designs for both the stirring motor and the electric heating system. Additionally, due to the increased aperture size, laboratory autoclaves typically feature open-top structures, whereas pilot-scale autoclaves are no longer limited to closed designs. Instead, influenced by factors such as pressure, temperature, and volume, pilot-scale autoclaves often adopt closed structures. In terms of converting design pressure into working pressure, hydrogenation autoclaves differ from conventional autoclaves; specific conversion formulas can be found in the relevant provisions of GB/T 150 standard. Pilot-scale autoclaves have even stricter safety performance requirements for the vessel itself. Particular attention must be paid to the heating power and heat loss rates associated with the expanded volume, while also ensuring that the vessel’s exterior design is aesthetically pleasing. Furthermore, openings on the vessel lid or body must be designed to be both practical and functional.
