What are the functions of a magnetic stirrer reactor?
The magnetic drive reactor features a static sealing structure, and the agitator is connected to the motor via a magnetic coupling. Thanks to its non-contact torque transmission and the replacement of dynamic seals with static seals, this design completely eliminates leakage problems that previously could not be solved by mechanical or packing seals, ensuring that all stirring components and the entire reaction medium operate in a state of absolute containment. Introduction to the HCF Magnetic Drive Reactor: The HCF magnetic drive reactor is an intermittently operated chemical reactor. All components that come into contact with the reaction medium are made of 1Cr18Ni9Ti, which provides excellent corrosion resistance during the reaction process. This magnetic drive reactor employs a static sealing design.

The magnetic stirrer reactor adopts a static sealing structure. The stirrer is connected to the motor via a magnetic coupling. Since this coupling transmits torque without any physical contact, it replaces dynamic seals with static seals, thereby completely eliminating leakage problems that were previously unsolvable with mechanical or packing seals. As a result, all components involved in the medium’s stirring operate in a state of absolute containment. Introduction: HCF Magnetic Stirrer Reactor The HCF magnetic stirrer reactor is an intermittently operated chemical reactor. All components that come into contact with the reaction medium are made of 1Cr18Ni9Ti, which provides excellent corrosion resistance during the reaction process. This magnetic stirrer reactor features a static sealing design, and the propeller-type stirrer is coupled to the motor via a permanent magnet coupling. The rotation status of the stirrer is monitored by a speed-measuring device, and the measured speed is displayed on a tachometer. The magnetic stirrer reactor is equipped with a control console that adjusts the power supply voltage to the electric heater according to the set temperature, achieving automatic temperature stabilization. Similarly, based on the requirements of the stirring load, the power supply voltage to the stirring motor can be adjusted continuously, enabling stepless speed regulation of the stirrer. Component Functions: The magnetic stirrer reactor mainly consists of a heating furnace, reactor vessel, reactor lid, and magnetic stirrer. (1) Heating Furnace: This component heats the reactor vessel. It has a cylindrical outer shell containing a tubular silicon heating core, within which heating resistance wires are embedded. The furnace features excellent heat transfer efficiency and rapid temperature rise. A socket is installed on the lower side of the furnace body; during operation, a cable is used to connect the furnace to the control unit. (2) Reactor Vessel: This part is where the chemical reactions take place. The vessel is made of TA2 material. The reactor vessel is connected to the flange via threaded joints. The seal between the reactor vessel and the lid is achieved through a combination of arc-shaped and conical surfaces without thermal plates. Thanks to high machining precision and the tightening force exerted by the main bolts, a reliable seal is ensured. (3) Reactor Lid: This is a key component of the magnetic stirrer reactor. Made of 1Cr18Ni9Ti, the reactor lid is equipped with a magnetic stirrer, pressure gauge, rupture disc, gas valve, sampling valve, and cooling coil—all designed for easy monitoring of the reaction conditions inside the reactor. These components allow precise adjustment of the reaction mixture's composition, proportions, temperature, and pressure, ensuring safe operation of the magnetic stirrer reactor. (4) Magnetic Stirrer: This is a permanent-magnet coupling device composed of inner and outer ring-shaped magnets, with a pressure-resistant spacer in between. The stirring torque is transmitted from the servo motor to the inner and outer magnets via magnetic forces. Inside the spacer is a speed-sensing element. As the stirrer rotates along with the inner magnet, an induced signal is generated by electronic components and transmitted to the control unit, displaying the operating speed of the magnetic stirrer. Application Scope: This reactor is suitable for research institutions in fields such as petroleum, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, metallurgy, and building materials. It is an ideal piece of equipment for conducting high-temperature and high-pressure reactions. It is particularly well-suited for reactions involving highly flammable, explosive, highly toxic, precious, and other chemically aggressive media with strong permeability. It is the most ideal leak-free reaction equipment for processes such as vulcanization, fluorination, hydrogenation, and oxidation in organic synthesis, polymer material polymerization, food processing, and other similar applications.
