A microreactor is broadly understood as a vessel designed to facilitate physical or chemical reactions. Through its structural design and parameter configuration, the microreactor provides functions such as heating, evaporation, cooling, and low-speed mixing tailored to meet process requirements.
Microreactors are widely used in fields such as petroleum, chemical engineering, rubber, pesticides, dyes, pharmaceuticals, and food industries. They serve as pressure vessels—such as reactors, reaction kettles, decomposition tanks, and polymerization reactors—for carrying out processes including vulcanization, nitration, hydrogenation, carbonization, polymerization, and condensation. The materials commonly used for these vessels include carbon steel, stainless steel, zirconium, nickel-based alloys (such as Hastelloy, Monel, and phosphor-nickel alloys), and other composite materials.
What are the installation and operation guidelines for microreactors?
1. The autoclave should be placed indoors. When equipping multiple autoclaves, they should be deployed separately. Each workroom must have an exit directly leading to the outdoors or a passageway, and ensure that the equipment is located in a well-ventilated area.
2. When installing the kettle lid, be careful to avoid any collision between the sealing surfaces of the lids. Gently place the kettle lid onto the kettle according to its designated position, and when tightening the main nut, tighten it gradually and symmetrically in a diagonal pattern several times. Apply even pressure to prevent the lid from tilting to one side, ensuring a good seal.
3. At the joint between the male and female nuts, only the male and female nuts themselves may be rotated; the sealing surfaces of the two arcs must not rotate relative to each other. When assembling all nut-threaded joints, lubricant must be applied.
4. To seal the needle valve pipeline, simply gently rotate the valve pin and securely close the pressure cap to achieve a good sealing effect.
5. Use the rotating body of the manual disc-type kettle and confirm whether the operation is smooth and flexible.
6. The controller should be placed flat on the workbench. The operating environment temperature should be between 10 and 40°C, with relative humidity below 85%. The surrounding medium must be free of conductive dust and corrosive gases.
7. Check whether the drive components and fixing pins on the front and rear panels are functioning properly. Open the cover and inspect the plug-in connections for looseness, as well as for any damage or corrosion caused by improper transportation or storage.
8. The controller must be properly grounded.
9. Connect all wires, including the power cable, electrical wires between the controller and the kettle, electrical wires, temperature sensor wires, and speedometer wires.
10. After turning off the main “Power” air switch on the panel, a digital display should appear.
11. Set various parameters (such as the upper-limit alarm temperature and the operating temperature) on the digital display, then press the “Heating” switch. The electric furnace will then turn on, and the indicator light for the “Heating” switch will illuminate. By adjusting the “Pressure Adjustment” knob, you can regulate the heating power of the electric furnace.
12. Press the “Stir” switch to power the mixing motor. At the same time, the indicator light on the “Stir” switch will illuminate. Slowly turn the “Speed Adjustment” knob to gradually start the motor. Observe whether the motor is rotating in the correct direction. If no errors are detected, stop the belt and restart it.
13. After the operation is completed, the component can be allowed to cool naturally, cooled by water circulation, or cooled in mid-air on the support stand. As the temperature drops, release the negative-pressure gas to reduce the pressure back to atmospheric pressure (as indicated by the pressure gauge reading 0). Then, loosen the main nut symmetrically and evenly, remove the main nut, and carefully take off the secondary cover, placing it onto the support stand. 14. After all operations are finished, any residual materials on the kettle body and kettle lid should be removed. The main sealing inlet must be cleaned regularly and kept clean; never use hard objects or abrasive surfaces to wipe it.
