Points to Note When a Stainless Steel Reactor Fails
Currently, stainless steel reactors are one of the commonly used reaction vessels in industries such as chemical engineering and food processing. To prevent malfunctions caused by improper operation when using a stainless steel reactor, let’s take a closer look at the key points to watch out for when a stainless steel reactor fails! 1. Currently, stainless steel reactors are one of the commonly used reaction vessels in industries such as chemical engineering and food processing. To avoid operational mishaps and reactor failures when using stainless steel reactors, let’s take a closer look at the key points to watch out for in case of reactor malfunctions!
1. During operation of the stainless steel reactor, it is essential to strictly avoid any metal or bulky hard objects from falling into the reactor.
2. After connecting the power supply, start the stirring operation and observe whether there are any abnormalities in the reducer and other actuators such as the stirrer.
3. The pressure and temperature changes during the lifting and lowering of the jacket or inner vessel must be gradual, so as to avoid thermal shock to the stainless steel reactor and prevent the inner wall from expanding. Additionally, it is strictly prohibited to approach or exceed the equipment’s maximum allowable working pressure or maximum allowable working temperature.
4. When the material becomes viscous and clogged, do not use metal tools to open it in order to avoid damaging the inner wall.
5. After discharging the material, promptly clean any material adhering to the surface of the stainless steel reactor. When cleaning, pay attention to temperature differences.
6. During the process of heating up or cooling down a stainless steel reactor, it is essential to minimize the temperature difference across the tank wall: heat the cold tank with heating materials, and heat the hot tank with heating materials.
The stainless steel reactor is equipped with additional water separation devices, which reduce energy loss and lower its operating costs. The water-guiding device consists primarily of three components: a switch valve, a mirror, and a pipe fitting. It ensures timely and accurate drainage through the drain pipe. This prevents water from being affected by the separator’s drainage timing, thereby avoiding waste and contamination of the solvent caused by water discharge.
When the stainless steel reactor is in the reaction stage, it is connected to the valve opening. Its primary purpose is to prevent the pressure inside the vessel from rebounding. When supplying or exhausting vacuum, close the reflux valve and the exhaust valve to avoid water separation. The reactor is equipped with a solvent pump.
When using a stainless steel reactor, be sure to clean both the inner and outer walls of the vessel with warm water. During use, regularly scrub the body of the reactor itself; this will effectively keep the exterior clean and maintain the luster of the inner liner, thereby achieving the desired durability.
Stainless steel reactors are indispensable corrosion-resistant equipment in the chemical industry. During operation, factors such as mechanical impacts and drastic temperature changes can directly cause damage to the equipment, including bubble formation, cracks, chipping of porcelain coatings, and other defects in the glaze.
No defects were found in the stainless steel reactor. If such a phenomenon occurs, it must be repaired immediately. During use, on-site repairs are performed using a polymer composite material that serves as a two-component composite, based on direct polymer polymers and wear-resistant ceramic powders, combined with a curing agent.
During placement, the stainless steel reactor must be kept indoors. If multiple high-pressure reactors are equipped, each should be placed separately. Each operating room must have an exit that leads directly to the outside or to a passageway, thereby effectively ensuring adequate ventilation in the equipment area.
The design stage is critically important for stainless steel reactors. The equipment’s design, selection, material choice, configuration, and installation must comply with relevant regulations and standards. Stainless steel reactors require careful consideration of various process characteristics and stringent controls, prompting the selection of appropriate materials that offer resistance to high or low temperatures, corrosion, and pressure. Moreover, advanced manufacturing and installation techniques are employed, followed by rigorous fire safety inspections and thorough testing and verification procedures.
