The manufacturer of Hastelloy reactors would like to share some information about the use of autoclaves and reaction vessels.
The Hastelloy reactor manufacturer would like to share some information on the use of autoclaves and reactors. Hastelloy Reactor Manufacturer: Using Autoclaves 1. The reactor body and lid are made of stainless steel. The reactor body is secured to the flange by screws, while the lid is a flat plate cover. The two components are fastened together using evenly distributed main bolts and nuts arranged circumferentially. 2. The main sealing interface of the autoclave employs an A-type double-seal design. All other sealing points utilize sealing configurations featuring line contact between curved surfaces and flat surfaces, as well as between curved surfaces themselves. By ensuring high precision and smoothness of the contact surfaces, excellent sealing performance is achieved.

Hastelloy Reactor The manufacturer will now explain the use of autoclaves and reaction vessels.
Hastelloy Reactor Manufacturer: Use of the Autoclave
1. The reactor body and reactor lid are both made of stainless steel. The reactor body is fastened to the flange with screws, while the reactor lid is a flat, plate-like cover. The two components are secured together by evenly distributed main bolts and nuts arranged circumferentially.
2. The main sealing port of the autoclave employs a Type A double-seal design, while all other sealing points utilize sealing configurations featuring line contact between arc surfaces and flat surfaces, or between arc surfaces themselves. By leveraging the high precision and excellent smoothness of these contact surfaces, superior sealing performance is achieved.
3. Install a barrel-shaped silicon carbide core outside the reactor vessel. Pass the electric furnace’s lead wire through the core, extract its front end from the lower side of the furnace shell, connect it to the stud bolts, and then connect the rubber-plastic cable and the controller.
4. The reactor lid is equipped with a pressure gauge, a rupture disc safety device, a vapor-liquid phase valve, a temperature sensor, and other components, enabling real-time monitoring of the reaction inside the reactor, adjustment of the medium ratio within the reactor, and ensuring safe operation.
5. The coupling consists primarily of a pair of inner and outer magnetic rings with strong magnetic forces, separated by a pressure-bearing baffle. The agitator is driven by a servo motor via the coupling; by controlling the rotational speed of the servo motor, the agitation speed can be precisely regulated.
6. A speed-sensing coil is installed at the upper part of the baffle. After the stirrer and the inner magnetic ring start rotating, the speed-sensing coil generates an induced electromotive force. This potential, which varies according to the stirring speed, is transmitted to the tachometer, enabling it to display the stirring speed.
7. Install a cooling water jacket between the magnetic coupler and the reactor lid. When the operating temperature is high, allow the cooling water to flow through it, as excessive temperature of the magnetic steel can lead to demagnetization.
8. The bearings are made of stainless steel or high-strength electrographite, offering excellent wear resistance and a long maintenance cycle. The housing is constructed from standard aluminum alloy and features an upper cover that can be pulled backward for easy maintenance and inspection. The panel is equipped with a digital temperature display, a voltmeter, a tachometer, as well as control switches and adjustment knobs, all of which are operated by the user.
Hastelloy Reactor Manufacturer: Interpreting the Conditions for Safe Operation of Reactors
The reaction vessel exhibits excellent resistance to acid corrosion and is used in the chemical industry as both a reactor and a storage tank. Due to the special nature of its operating environment, it is essential to ensure that the vessel is not operated beyond its rated capacity. In other words, please adhere to the following safety operating conditions when using the vessel.
1. Permitted operating pressure: 6 kg/cm² in the vessel jacket, 2.5 kg/cm² inside the vessel, or as specified on the equipment nameplate.
2. Inspect the pipelines and valves associated with the enameled reactor to ensure they meet the material acceptance criteria before materials can be introduced.
3. Check whether the mixing motor, gearbox, seals, and other components are functioning properly; verify that the oil level in the gearbox is appropriate; and ensure that the seal cooling water is being supplied normally.
4. Once you’ve confirmed there are no abnormalities, start stirring and add the materials according to the specified quantities.
5. It is strictly prohibited to run the agitator empty in reactors with a capacity of 5 m³ or more, or in reactors equipped with bottom bearings—this ensures that the bottom bearings remain submerged in the liquid when the agitator is started.
6. Strictly follow the process operating procedures, closely monitor the temperature and pressure inside the reactor as well as the jacket pressure of the reactor, and absolutely prohibit exceeding the specified temperature and pressure limits.
7. During the reaction, conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly as they are discovered.
8. When overheating occurs, promptly use water to cool down the temperature. The cooled-down temperature must meet the process requirements.
9. When overpressure occurs, immediately open the relief valve to release the emergency pressure.
10. Parking: When parking due to a power outage, you must stop feeding materials into the reactor. If the power is restored during operation, immediately stop feeding, open the vent valve, and start cooling the water supply. For long-term parking, thoroughly clean any residual liquid remaining in the reactor, then close the bottom valve, feed valve, suction valve, filling valve, and other relevant valves.
Hastelloy Reactor That’s all for the manufacturer’s introduction. The information mentioned above pertains to precautions that must be taken when using reaction vessels; special attention is required due to the specific characteristics of the industry and materials involved.
